The work on the Southern Loop-3 (SL-3) of Lahore Ring Road has kicked off. The contractor is now getting all the necessary machinery and workers ready for action. This whole process is starting from Adda Plot, located on Raiwind Road. This path covers a distance of 8 kilometers, beginning at Adda Plot, passing through Bahria Town, and extending to the entrance of NFC Phase 2. The Punjab finance department has allocated Rs6 billion to the Lahore Ring Road Authority (LRRA), and the remaining funds will be disbursed in installments during the coming six months.
As per the official statement, the SL-3 project of the Lahore Ring Road, amounting to Rs17.798 billion, will feature Punjab’s largest-ever interchange. This interchange will span over Link Canal Road and Multan Road before culminating just 500 meters from Multan Road.
Furthermore, the project is set to link up with Ring Road SL-4, contingent on approval and the availability of funds, which will be constructed once SL-3 is completed.
